The menu appeals to a variety of tastes, with standout dishes such as grilled salmon, lamb shank, and fresh Italian sandwiches receiving particular acclaim. Had dinner here last night with my boyfriend and we both were honestly blown away. The place has this cozy, slightly rustic vibe, with soft lighting and jazz playing in the background. I ordered the grilled salmon with lemon butter sauce, and it was cooked perfectly — crispy skin, flaky inside. He had the lamb shank and couldn't stop talking about it. Our server, Nina, was super sweet and gave us great wine pairing suggestions. We’ll definitely be back, maybe even for brunch next weekend.
This is a local gem which serves as a retail store for Italian pantry and frozen foods and a restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Our favorite sandwich is the Chicken Caprice with it's fresh ingredients such as mozzarella, chicken, and warm pressed bread that is so so good! (It's a filling meal so it may be best the share). We had a small side salad that was a great compliment. For dessert, we had gelato. It is located in the frozen section. We had the mocha hazel nut flavor and it was so amazing. They are prepared in a small flute glass which elevates it's presentation. The expresso is excellent and served as a great close to the meal. The owner is so welcoming and attentive; ensuring your experience is wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I would love to give this place one star so people steer away so more room for me. But the reality I am trying to figure out how to give them 10 stars because they are that great. The personalized service, from the owner, makes you feel like you are the only patron in the place. And every time I take someone new there, it becomes their favorite restaurant. Kudos, to Gina and her husband for providing a menu that meets the needs of everyone even if you have dietary restrictions. Even the desserts are above and beyond.
I write reviews when it matters and to only help others. I am a high critic on service. Probably the best I have experienced...thanks to Gina. And it literally started when I made the reservations. The food, authentic and outstanding. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you for making our family's Fathers Day memorable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Mercato this spring afternoon. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. The menu had so many appealing dishes that we are already planning to return just so we can try the second and third choices we each had.
I went here for the first time Friday for my grandma's birthday and we had a wonderful time. It is a smaller BYOB place that doesn't look like much from the outside but it's beautiful inside. The food was delicious- I loved the calamari, bruschetta (it has really flavorful olives), and the penne bolognese. My boyfriend loved the pollo Montecarlo but the portion was a bit too small for him. The service was really good too. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
First time there! What a beautiful and cozy place. Delighted with the service and what we ordered to eat an A+ We ordered a cheese steak accompanied by pasta, uff! What luxury. It looks like an Italian deli, so you can find a variety of options if you like Italian food, and it definitely offers a gorgeous restaurant setting.
This hidden gem in Kingston is a lovely destination!l Our server, Gina, was a delight and provided us with an excellent wine recommendation and great service. The mussels with marinara and crunchy bread crumbs were absolutely delicious as was the Rustico veggie sandwich on focaccia. Bonus is that it is part market with an impressive array of Italian pastas, sauces, olive oils, a deli counter, and a refrigerator section with take away salads, pizza, and SO MUCH MORE. Highly recommend!
